The main location is once again Clara-Zetkin Park between the racecourse, Sachsenbrücke and Anton-Bruckner-Allee. But the bandstand, Plagwitz District Park and Lindenauer Hafen also offer a varied programme.
Come and browse the arts and creative market on Sachsenbrücke. There will be plenty to eat and drink next door at the fishing festival with fish delicacies and white wine from the region.
At Plagwitz District Park, there will be lots of adventure for younger guests. It will once again be transformed into a real pirate's island with twist bread and wild pirate stories at the campfire, great pirate costumes, pirate skills tests, a pirate raft building camp and pirate water jousting. Concerts, dance and puppet shows also provide the necessary entertainment.At Clara-Zetkin-Park concerts, dance, artistry, fire shows, summer cinema and much more attract visitors. The Music Vision Awards finalists will also perform again. At Lindenauer Hafen there is live music (Friday), DJ sets (Saturday) and a big family festival (Sunday). There's sport with the Rowing Bundesliga on 17 August where the best rowing club eights in Germany compete against each other on the Elsterflutbett. Whereas you can expect rather unusual self-built watercraft at the Regatta Royale on 18 August.
The annual duck race starts at 3pm on 18 August on Sachsenbrücke.
Pearls by the Water
At the 19th Leipzig Water Festival, there is another opportunity to get to know special places by the water in a summery atmosphere. They are easy to reach by boat, bike and on foot. There is also a water shuttle between the Water Festival site and the "Pearls by the Water".
